We Believe

Family is meant to be a place of safety; where we band together and protect each other, where we comfort and soothe our aches and pains.

We believe that there is an intention to family. Family is embedded into our very being. From birth we are dependent, relying on others to nurture us, protect us, guide us. Within all of us is an innate yearning to belong, to be known, and fully accepted. Family wasn’t made by us; we were made for family.

Family is meant to be THE place to learn and experience life the way it was intended.

Family is meant to be a place of safety; where we band together and protect each other, where we comfort and soothe our aches and pains. Family is meant to be a greenhouse; the perfect environment for growing and thriving, the place we are fed and nourished, the starting ground where we are strengthened before being sent out into the world.

Our Vision

To see family restored to the way it was intended, so that each generation would set it’s hope anew on God.

Our Mission

We envision, encourage, and empower families to build a legacy they're proud of.

Our Values

Family

We focus on family in order to affect the greatest change. Evangelism and discipleship start at home

Prayer

We recognize nothing will change in families without the power of prayer

Intentionality

Intentionality is the key to living on purpose and creating generational impact

humility

We remain teachable and ready to learn from others and the promptings of God

faith

We step out, take risks, and dream big because we have a BIG God

…He commanded our ancestors to teach these laws to their children, so the next generation might know them—even the children not yet born—and they in turn will teach their own children. So that each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands.

The Problem

Families are crumbling all around us. The family unit has often become the very opposite of what it was intended for. Our families can become the place we feel the most hurt, where bitterness and anger are more predominate than forgiveness and peace. Our marriages can become stale or stifling, creating constant anxiety and turmoil. This breakdown of family and all it was meant to be is having detrimental affects in our society.

Fatherlessness, divorce, greed, selfishness, lust and laziness  has caused a generation that suffers with substance abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking, porn addiction, homelessness, and suicide.

Technology is taking the place of deep interpersonal conversation. Negative outside influences are teaching our children what to think and do and have taken authority away from parents.  Too many things are constantly pulling us away from what matters most.

The Solution

Family as it was intended. A place of belonging, of unconditional love, of refuge. A place to learn and grow and become. A source of strength and comfort. Committed, consistent, companionship.

Legacymakers exists to stem societal issues by targeting the root of it all. Family. At Legacymakers, we envision, encourage, and empower families to leave a legacy they are proud of. The reality is, the story passed down to us will simply continue UNLESS we take intentional steps to create a line in the sand, to map out the course, and say this is the story we want to tell, this is the legacy we want to leave.

Families experience greater unity and deeper connection when they have a clear mission and a system of core values. Unified and connected families leave lasting family legacies that change the world one generation at a time.

origin story

The Glassmans

Legacymakers was birthed in our own family in a season of chaos. We had too many things going on, overloaded, just starting to have kids; life became too hectic to maintain. In the stress of it all our marriage was becoming more distant, unhealthy patterns were developing, and we were trying to figure out how to be parents that raised passionate followers of Jesus. We looked at everything we had going on and realized we didn’t know our why or our how.

In that moment, we decided to change, we set aside time to strategically think about what we wanted for our family and our future and how we would make it happen. It was a moment of divine intervention and, thanks to Jesus, we have seen a complete transformation. We experience unity around a common mission, deeper connection as we intentionally live it out, and a greater understanding of how we each play a unique part in demonstrating our values and achieving our mission.

We have a system of checking our progress, making adjustments, and continued dreaming, in one of these discussions we saw the impact in our life of taking the time to create a vision for our family and knew we had to share this with other families. Thus, Legacymakers was born.
