From the beginning the heart and purpose of family has been multiplication. God told the first family, Adam and Eve, to "be fruitful and multiply." Not to just populate the earth but to live a fruit filled life, mulitplying what they had experienced with God through their future generations.
Family has always been the first and primary tool for evangelism and discipleship. God told the Israelites again and again to tell the next generation about Him and His glorious deeds because he knew the exponential growth that takes place through multi-generational family.
Legacymakers exists to reclaim that original heart of family, becoming multi-generational families living on mission for God.
At Legacymakers, we recognize the power of parents and churches working together to disciple the next generation. A healthy. thriving church needs a core of of healthy, thriving families. When parents take ownership of their God given role to disciple their children and the Church surrounds them with support throughout the journey, followers of Jesus are multiplied through the generations.
Legacymakers was birthed out of Ben and Megan's own experience of coming out of a life drifting through the currents of busy-ness and survival into a family life of intentional and unified purpose. They developed a passion for understanding God's intent for family and forming their lives around that vision. They left their job as a pastor and started training families in the ways of family discipleship.
As their kids are growing and their own journey in discipling their children develops, their passion only grows as they see how much parents need to maintain vision and have continued accountability and encouragement throughout the journey of raising followers of Jesus.
